Approaches at In-Between Therapy

My Approaches

I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapy practices, depending on your needs, goals and pace.

The approaches listed below may be used individually or in combination to support our work together.

My work is grounded in a relational approach, meaning I work to build a trusting, safe and consistent therapeutic environment with you.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) Supports understanding the impact of trauma while building coping skills and emotional regulation.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Supports psychological flexibility and helps you move toward what matters, even in the presence of difficult thoughts or emotions.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Focuses on building skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and managing overwhelming feelings.

Religious Deconstruction Religious deconstruction is the process of examining, questioning, and reevaluating beliefs, values, practices, and identities that may have been shaped by religious or spiritual experiences.

Narrative Therapy Focuses on understanding and reshaping your personal story, helping to separate you from unhelpful or imposed narratives.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Helps identify and work through unhelpful beliefs that can develop after difficult or traumatic experiences.
